Fiona Surrey
Fiona Surrey is the founder of FSM Ltd., a social enterprise dedicated to leveraging technology for social impact within communities. After being made redundant during the COVID-19 pandemic following 15 years in retail management and technology training, Fiona transformed her passion for digital marketing and brand advocacy into a platform for social good. FSM Ltd. helps businesses create social impact measurement tools that align with ESG standards while fostering trust, loyalty, and brand awareness through meaningful campaigns.
Fiona’s vision is to empower individuals through Smart Tech 4 Good, launching projects via the Digital Innovation Skills Hub (#DISH), which includes pop-up hubs and academies in collaboration with the NHS, community organizations, and government agencies. Her work has received widespread recognition, earning over 11 awards for her commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Some of Fiona’s notable initiatives include the TechWize Explorers: Smart Things Project, focused on the North East’s digital strategy plan, and the Flying High Academy, which educates communities on smart technology. She has also championed campaigns supporting women veterans in Parliament, homelessness awareness through the CEO Sleepout, and a community drama group tackling social issues like teen suicide prevention and abuse.
Through FSM Ltd., Fiona Surrey continues to drive social impact, blending technology with community-driven initiatives to create lasting change and empower underserved groups.
