Neeraj Sharma
Neeraj Sharma is a trailblazer in the charity world and a passionate advocate for neurodiversity. Born and raised in the North East of England to parents who ran a corner shop, Neeraj’s sense of community and entrepreneurial spirit were instilled at an early age. His leadership journey began young, driven by a strong sense of responsibility and a desire to make real, lasting change.
Neeraj holds a law degree (LLB Hons) from Teesside University and completed his LPC at The University of Law, bringing a sharp legal mind to his role as CEO of Daisy Chain. His legal training has provided him with the discipline, strategic insight, and analytical skills that have been key in transforming the charity sector. This unique combination of creativity and structure sets him apart—not just as a leader but as a problem solver and strategic thinker.
Since taking the helm at Daisy Chain, Neeraj has led a remarkable expansion of services, quadrupling income and extending the charity’s reach from Berwick to Leeds. Today, more than 8,000 people benefit from the life-changing programs Daisy Chain offers, a direct result of Neeraj’s innovative leadership and vision.
In addition to traditional charity work, Neeraj has broken new ground with Neuthread, a sustainable clothing brand born from the unsellable textile waste at Daisy Chain’s charity shops. Under his creative direction, Neuthread became the first charity brand to feature at London Fashion Week, raising both funds and awareness for autism services. This initiative demonstrates Neeraj’s ability to combine charity with fashion to create a powerful force for social good.
Neeraj leads from the front, whether spearheading strategic growth or working closely with his team to drive operational improvements. His vision and practical know-how have turned Daisy Chain into a leader in the charity sector, creating a lasting impact on neurodiverse communities across the region.
Beyond numbers and strategy, Neeraj is driven by purpose. His legal expertise, creative approach, and commitment to inclusion have redefined what’s possible in the third sector. Whether mentoring other CEOs or expanding autism services, Neeraj Sharma is setting new standards for leadership and innovation in the charity world.
