Here at ABC, we hold our Annual Awards, this special event is a way for us all to celebrate incredible and extraordinary accomplishments by individuals and businesses. This year, our Awards is being held on the 19th of October at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Lifetime Achievement Award - The ABC Lifetime Achievement award looks to recognise the contributions of an individual over the entirety of their career. Example: Ranjana Bell, nearing 72, is a lifelong advocate for justice. In her current volunteer and paid roles, she chairs multiple advisory groups, serves on Employment Tribunals, and provides consultancy on vital topics. With over 40 years of commitment, she's an unwavering voice for the unheard.
Professional Award - An individual who has excelled in the professional world. Example: Parvin Kumar is a brilliant chef and established his Business from small takeaway to became restaurant owner and he is a professional chef.
Business Award - A large business that has experienced significant growth. Example: Kamran Ali, the success of growth of his Hijama clinics and business.
Independent Award - A small or independent business that has experienced significant growth and success. Example: Miriam Ahmad is very motivating and inspiring. A fantastic coach who lives and breathes her values. Encourages people of all abilities. Truly professional in all areas helping you improve your physical and mental health.
Public Sector Award - An individual who has excelled within the public sector. Example: Irim Ali, a Newcastle City Councillor for almost 14 years, is now the city's first and only Muslim female Cabinet member. She's a solicitor who recently started her Immigration law firm, showcasing her strength, independence, and determination.
3rd Sector Award - An individual or organisation that has made a significant contribution to the 3rd sector. Example: Sandeep Kapoor, each year, he devotes his time and energy free of charge to help. The small charity deliver an incredibly professional charity ball. He goes above and beyond to make sure the event goes without any problems, he makes each event look beautiful and helps the charity raise much needed funds. Sandeep and his professional team are an absolute pleasure to work with and his kindness and energy is simply incredible.
People's Choice Award - This award will be nominated and selected via Spice FM. Example: Amjid Khazir’s work on inclusion, diversity and anti-racism is unmatched!!
Health and Life Science Award - This Award recognises the outstanding work of those in the Health and Life Science Sectors. Example: Dr Ahmed has been a consultant in South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust for nearly 10 years. During this time he has made it his business to innovate in his specialty of kidney disease offering patients more visibility and more choice in managing their own disease. Home dialysis, access to their own results and self determination have resulted in excellence being delivered by this service. Having originally been a relatively small partner in this specialty, Sunderland Renal Department now has a national profile due to the high standards set by Dr Ahmed.
